LCD DRIVING ACADEMY Terms & Conditions


The terms and conditions listed below form a contract between the customer booking the training (hereafter referred to as “the Client”) and LCD Driving Academy (hereafter called “LCD”).

No addition to or variation of these conditions will bind LCD unless it is specifically agreed in writing and signed by the owner of LCD.

Any bookings confirmed by phone, email, text, or purchase order will be considered firm orders irrespective of a signed contract and will be subject to our cancellation terms.

LCD reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time and without notice. The latest version will be available via the LCD website.

Delegate Responsibility

The onus is entirely on the CONTRACTOR / delegate to ensure his or her fitness and suitability for training. LCD does not accept any responsibility in this regard.

LCD reserves the right to terminate the course if we consider the trainee, whilst in charge of the vehicle, to be a danger to themselves, the instructor, or the public.

LCD also reserves the right to terminate the course if the delegate is considered to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances.

Equipment

Equipment or training aids must not be removed from the training environment. Any damage caused by wilful misuse, negligence, or removal from LCD will be invoiced to the Client.

Attendance

Delegates are required to arrive promptly at the training venue.

Late arrivals may not be admitted to join the course and will result in the course costs being invoiced in full.

Clients will be charged in full for any delegates who fail to attend any part of a booking or test.

Prices & Payment Terms

LCD reserves the right to charge an administration fee for any cancellation in respect of any booking or contract (Currently £75.00 ).

Fees are due at the point of booking by bank transfer.

Payment may be made:

In full, or In part (minimum 80% of the total cost), with the remaining balance due two weeks prior to the course start date

Staged / Assisted Booking Agreements (LGV / PCV / Taxi)

Where an agreement exists for delayed invoice payment or part payment, due to LCD being tasked with guiding and facilitating candidates through several stages (e.g. medical, licence, theory tests):

Once LCD has confirmed the candidate’s theory test bookings, a driver training date will be reserved.If the candidate fails to attend or pass any required stage (including medical, licence, or theory tests): 100% of all medical, licence, and theory test fees are payable, and 80% of the full driver training price (as last advised) is payable to LCD

Cancellation Policy

Less than 4 weeks’ notice:

100% of Medical / Licence / Theory Test fees, and 80% of the latest advised driver training price

Less than 2 weeks’ notice:

100% of the total booking or contract price

This applies to:

Full bookings, Individual delegates,Tests or any element of a booking

Classroom Courses

Must be paid in full at the point of booking

Cancellation terms:

Less than 4 weeks’ notice:100% of Medical / Licence / Theory Test fees - 80% of the booking price
Less than 2 weeks’ notice:100% of the booking price

Site Requirements

Training delivered at a venue specified by the Client must be suitable for the course requirements and meet all relevant approved codes of practice as set out by LCD or any related awarding body.

Failure to comply may result in LCD cancelling the booking, subject to the cancellation terms outlined above.

Settlement Terms

LCD accepts confirmation of bookings by phone, email, text, or purchase order. Once confirmed, the booking is considered firm.

Any request to cancel or postpone must be made in writing and will be subject to the cancellation terms within this document.

Late Payments

LCD reserves the right to charge interest at 5% per month above the Ulster Bank NI Base Rate on any outstanding invoice.

Interest is applied from the invoice date until payment is received Any part of a month will be charged as a full month

Documentation Requirements

All delegates must be in possession of all required legal documentation prior to the commencement of training.

LCD accepts no responsibility for delegates failing to comply with these requirements.

Clients will be charged in full for any delegates who fail to bring the appropriate documentation.

Delegate Information

LCD reserves the right to refuse entry to any delegate not wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE). Full charges will apply as per the cancellation terms.

If a delegate misses any part of their course for any reason not attributable to LCD:

The course will be deemed null and void
No refunds will be issued

Operational Conditions

LCD, acting reasonably, will determine when training cannot proceed due to:

Traffic conditions, Adverse weather, Any event beyond its control

If necessary, a mutually agreeable alternative date will be arranged.

LCD will not be liable for any costs incurred by the Client as a result.

Personal Property

LCD cannot be held responsible for any loss of personal belongings left in:

The delegate’s vehicle Training vehicles LCD premises

Governing Law

Northern Irish Law applies. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Northern Ireland.

Statutory Rights

These Terms and Conditions do not affect any statutory rights available to the Client.
