I started as a pupil with Lawrence after failing my test twice before. I was quite nervous about my driving and kept making the same silly mistakes all the time.
Lawrence was very easy to get along with. He gave clear and concise instructions over the period of the lessons and helped me to learn to relax and feel comfortable and confident in my ability to drive. When I started with Lawrence I had already passed my theory however, he emphasised the need to continue learning as this would improve my knowledge making me a better driver.
Whilst with Lawrence I failed my test once over one very stupid mistake. Lawrence talked me through what had happened giving me helpful advice to remember for next time. A few weeks later I took my test again and passed.
As a teacher Lawrence is very knowledgeable. He is very fair and pushes his pupils to be the best they can be.

I had some driving experience prior to taking my lessons with LCD Driving Academy, although I wasn’t particularly confident especially changing gears. I have recently completed the B&E car and trailer test just this week and i would highly recommend LCD driving academy to all who are interestd in doing their car and trailer test ! It was a great success with the helpful instructor Lawrence who guided and adviced me to the success! I not only passed my test I learned alot and refreshed my driving skills in the short period of 3 days ! Having little experience of towing a trailer with anything but a tractor I was wary about how I would get on with negotiating a car and trailer around the Maiden City! However I needn’t have worried, as with Laurence excellent, well informed tuition I had my test certificate within 4 half day training sessions! Having experience of towing and reversing trailers while working on the farm, I was surprised when Lawrence from LCD Driving Academy 'claimed' that I would learn something from his Car & Trailer training course. LCD Driving Academy's course certainly did teach me a lot and with Lawrence's great tutoring, I successfully passed the test first time. I was recommended LCD Driving Academy by various friends and although I had a 30min drive to his course premises, it was certainly worth the effort in my part. I am considering further driving courses and LCD Driving Academy will be my first port of call. I would without hesitation, recommend LCD Driving Academy to friends and family.

Coming from a farming background I had some level of experience towing trailers. LCD Driving Academy’s Car & Trailer Course was very good and Lawrence’s approach was relaxed and down to earth. Unfortunately I didn’t pass first time, but Lawrence went through the course very thoroughly an hour before my second attempt, and clearly identified areas which I needed to improve on. This made a huge difference and I was delighted to pass the test. I am now very confident in towing and reversing trailers. LGV Course

Having known about LCD Driving Academy from previous driver training (B+E) I had no hesitation deciding who to contact for my LGV training. To obtain the C+E Licence is a lengthy process but Lawrence made it as simple as possible. Lawrence was willing to go the extra mile training me to a higher standard than required and teaching me things over and above what the test required, It really made me more confident on the road. I enjoyed my time at LCD it was a fun experience and would recommend it to anyone that is wanting to learn in the classes that Lawrence train's in.

I'd like to thank Lawrence for helping me threw my c+e test, he is very strict an let's you away with very little mistakes,which sounds to be off putting but hand on my heart it prepares you for your test to a high standard. Although he is strict he also makes you at ease when driving and is more than willing to take time to talk or show you any problems you may have (try not to have lawrence standing out in the rain watching you drive over his cone like I did, lol, I'll get you another one Lawrence) I'd highly recommend Lawrence for any driving lessons you require, I did my car an motorbike with two different instructors an they wouldn't come close to experience or professionalism that Lawrence showed,

It has always been a personal ambition of mine to learn to drive a lorry. Lawrence was recommended to me for training. He was really good and was very patient (had to be with me) and put me at ease. Although tuition was relaxed and we shared a bit of craic, Lawrence trains very much ‘by the book’, is firm and takes no nonsense. All these attributes certainly resulted in me passing the test first time. I would definitely recommend LCD Driving Academy’s LGV Course to anyone. I am currently doing the HGV course with LCD Driving Academy and plan to also do the C & T course in the near future.

If anyone can get you through the LGV Test, LCD Driving Academy can! Lawrence has a non nonsense approach to his tuition method but he knows how to keep himself and the learner calm under pressure. My experience with LCD Driving Academy was BRILLIANT. Without Lawrence I definitely wouldn’t have passed the LGV Test first time. I really can’t recommend him enough. I’m now seriously considering the 2nd stage in January.

I run a wedding car hire business and do a lot of VIP driving work. I wanted to do an advanced driving course to ‘overhaul’ my existing driving experience. I did initially set out to compare course prices, but after an initial phone call followed by meeting I knew that Lawrence was the best in his field to offer me the instruction I need. I am now a proud member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists a great accolade to hold for any driving employment as it’s proof that you are a competent driver.
